Yale Linguistics well represented at GLOW-47

Yale Linguistics was well represented at The 47th Generative Linguistics in the Old World (GLOW-47), jointly held by Goethe University Frankfurt and Georg-August University in Göttingen from 24 March to 28 March 2025. Seven current graduate students presented in total seven pieces of work at the conference: 

Talks (25 + 10 mins): 

  • Squid Tamar-Mattis, with Oddur Snorrason (Queen Mary): Paradigmatic gaps in (Quasi-)Serial Verb Constructions, at the pre-colloquium workshop on (Universal) Paradigmatic Gaps
  • Ka-Fai Yip and Bode Adedeji, with Daniel Aremu (Goethe University Frankfurt): Backward association of exclusive particles and scope freezing, at the main colloquium
