Ka-Fai Yip started his PhD in Linguistics in 2020. Before coming to Yale, he earned a BA and an MPhil degree in Chinese Language and Literature at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2017 and 2019 respectively. He is mainly interested in syntax, semantics and their interface as well as the syntax-prosody interface, from theoretical and comparative perspectives. He is also interested in addressing language variations using corpora. His research languages include East Asian and Southeast Asian languages.
