Isabella began her PhD in linguistics at Yale in 2021. Prior to that, she received a B.A. in mathematics from Pomona College in 2020, with research in the areas of algebraic combinatorics and representation theory. Her primary area of research is mathematical linguistics, where she works at the intersection of theoretical mathematics, theoretical syntax, and theoretical computer science. Her interests also include morphology, morphosyntax, and computational linguistics. She is a member of the Computational Linguistics at Yale (CLAY) lab.
