Alessio graduated with degrees in linguistics and computer science from the University of Washington in 2024. He has done fieldwork on Triestin (Triestine Venetian) and worked on investigating linguistic priors in large language models. He is currently working on creating forced aligner models to investigate the phonologies of Australian languages.
