Yale linguists presenting at NELS

This year’s meeting of the North East Linguistic Society (NELS) begins tomorrow at the University of Connecticut and features presentations by three linguists currently at Yale and one recent alumnus:
- On Friday afternoon, associate professor Claire Bowern, Barry Alpher, and Erich Round (University of Queensland, Yale PhD ’09 and former postdoc) will present a poster titled “Yidiny Stress, Length, and Truncation Reconsidered.”
- On Friday afternoon, professor Raffaella Zanuttini and Judy Bernstein (William Patterson University) will present a poster titled “Conditions on Transitive Expletives: Evidence from Appalachian English.”
- On Saturday morning, Anton Karl Ingason (UPenn) and postdoc Jim Wood and will present a talk titled “Clause-bounded movement: Stylistic Fronting and phase theory.”
