Edwin Ko awarded a half million dollar NEH grant

Edwin Ko has recently been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to support his work on language documentation and preservation.  The award will allow him and his co-PI, Albert Larson, to collect and analyze new recordings related to Umóⁿhoⁿ (Omaha), a critically endangered language, and to curate existing cultural and linguistic materials and make them accessible online. The award and Edwin’s success was covered by a Yale FAS news story
